On a warm but very windy afternoon, Titans lost a tight encounter with each team scoring four tries, writes Hugh Duder.
The wind caught Titans out from the kick off, swirling out of the air, the resulting scrum leading to Reds scoring after only two minutes.
Titans responded on eight minutes, Jo Elsworth going over after a fine break by Nick Mason.
A deep long penalty (wind assisted) found touch in the Reds’ 22 which led to winger Henry Webb scoring wide out, converted by Sinclair. 7-12 on15 minutes.
Redruth levelled the game up at 12-12.
On 28 minutes, Nick Mason gave Taunton the lead after good three-quarter passing. Sinclair converting for 12-19.
A penalty kick reduced the deficit for Reds. 15-19.
With Redruth pinned back defending their lines, the first half closed out.

Titans added a penalty on 46 minutes. 15-27.
On 69 minutes Titans were reduced to 14 men when Sam Prior was shown yellow. With Sam Leworthy replaced from an earlier injury, Titans now looked vulnerable.
Reds scored a converted try on 70 minutes. 22-27.
Lack of possession did for Titans as Reds scored the winning try on 78 minutes with the successful conversion taking them two points ahead.29-27.
A Titans penalty took them into the Reds’ 22 but with time running out, and three consecutive line outs lost, Titans were defeated in a game they had won.
Next up Titans are at home to Hinckley this Saturday (April12). A game they will look to win to consolidate their third place in the league.
