It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of one of our longstanding members and old friend Morley Blamey who died on the 31st May. Our condolences go out to his wife June and immediate family and friends.

Morley was a proud Cornishman having been brought up and educated in the City of Truro. He joined Taunton RFC in the mid 1980's having moved his business interests to Chard, Somerset from Surrey, where he was a former Treasurer and President of Purley RFC from 1978 - 81.  He immediately became an avid supporter at home and away matches over the next 20 or so years and became one of the original members of the “Friends of Taunton Rugby” association where he was a Trustee for several years, always hosting a table at our pre-match lunches.

He will be sorely missed by the many who got to know him.
