Taunton Vets travel to Minehead this Easter weekend for a fixture against our friends from West Somerset. With Vets rugby being over 35's only its a wonderful game of pure enjoyment.

Anyone who fancies a trip over to Minehead its a 2pm ko, some familiar faces from the past will be there, Vince Carrington is still putting the boots on and will be captaining the side, club president Neil Symons will be stretching the legs, Steve Harris and Baz Lockyear are due the annual run out, plus many others.

Minehead will be ran by ex Taunton legend (his words) Richy Parsons, we look forward to a good game and a few drinks in the sunshine after.

Vets rugby has always been fun to watch and well supported, here are some comments,

Club legend Derek Rowland quoted “if I squint really hard they look as lean and fit as they did 25 years ago”

Club Life member Andy Yabsley quipped “i've never seen a medical bag with a 4ft shoe horn in it”

Club Stalwart Graham Wiltshire added “they still give 100% effort, there is plenty of huffing and puffing and groaning and sweating, but that's just putting their socks on”
