Youth Summer Camp 2023 was a success for the section raising over £1300 for training courses & kit!

The Youth Section Coaches were delighted to see over 30 players over the 2 day Summer Camp from all age groups U7-U12! Two days of rugby related games including rugby golf, rugby tennis, rugby rounders, as well as skill sessions like passing, evasion, new tackle height for older ages and other fun stuff like crossbar challenge, tug of war and the Ultimate Summer Camp finisher 'Field Gun Challenge'.

Whilst the weather was not the best on Monday morning, all joined in for the fun and by the afternoon the Sun shone and fun continued into day 2.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all of our volunteer coaches, volunteers and older players from across the age groups, many of whom booked holidays from work to give up their time and expertise on the day and raise funds for the youth section. We say farewell & HUGE thanks especially to Jason Wallis and John Wrelton who have now handed over the reins for next seasons Summer Camp after a combined total of 20+ years of running and helping with this amazing event.

We thank also the parents for supporting the event, we know from feedback that the players slept well!

Finally THANK YOU to VX3 who donated 25 of their Arundo Training Balls to the Summer Camp, which ultimately were gifted to the players at the end of the second day. We really appreciate your support VX3 and look forward to seeing the new kit!
